Add dynamic email signature in email template.

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I have created an email template of type "Opportunity" now I need to add dynamic email signature depending on the owner of the Opportunity.
For example if user A creates an opportunity than his/her email signature should be added in the email for user B his/her signature.

    Hi unaseerb,

    Your requirement is very simple:

You want to send an email with this two specs:

    • from: owner email
    • signature in body of email: info of the OPTY owner

    If the scenario is this

Yes you can do with PA (and you must do it), and it´s the best way to do it...(you don´t need to create middle workflows

    See my example:

Send an email to client when a OPTY is created

Dont think you can do it just with OOB.

You need to create a new field on opportunity say 'ownerEmail' and then fill this using a workflow with owner emailaddress. The workflow can trigger on Create and Update of owner.

Then this new field can be used in email template directly.

    Thanks,

    Prateek

    Hi Leah Ju,

Yes I have added this field now depending on the owner value in the signature in the email should be set.

    Hi unaseerb,

Why not directly add opportunity owner field in the email template, which can dynamically show it.

when you add the opportunity template in the email, it will show opportunity owner.

    Hi ashish12,

Thanks for your answer but this is not what I am looking to achieve.

    Hi ,

So, the scenario is that I want to use the signature of the owner of the opportunity. If i am the owner than my signatures should be used if someone else is the owner than there signatures should be used. And signatures can vary for different owners. And the last constraint is that the email should be send directly from the system using email templates so, i do not think that we can use Power Automate flow for this.

    Hi,

I suggest you to use PA (send email outloook conector).

    Example of template:

    flow.microsoft.com/.../

You can use dynamic values in accordance to your requirements

Can you give more detail about your scenario?

    Hi,

As this solution is not direct I would recommend you to view this thread to get an idea what to do.
