Message: "Terminal ist not configured for use ..." from job registration form

Whenever opening form "Job Registration" from Production control/periodic/Manufacturing execution/Job Registration the error message "Terminal ist not configured for use ..." appears.

Here is what I did (company CFU):

- Created new employee and assigned this employee to my user

- Setup this employee as time registration employee in HR module, assigned

configuration "production"

- checked settings under production control/Settings/Terminals/Terminals

There is one line, representing my Client computer with configuration "Production"

- checked settings under production control/Settings/Terminals/Configure Registration forms

Setting for configuration "Production" is available and contains required Information

Now, whenever I open form "Job Registration" and enter worker ID, a message appears telling, that the terminal is not configured for use.

I checked documentation and Training Manuals, however I did not find the reason for this.

When I use existing example in company CEU, the job registration form works. So it may have something to do with company specific setting, I just do not know where to look for.

Is anyone able to help?

ok I have several AX2012 R2 Images but its not in there. Where did you download this Version?

Normaly you can see the Version on the files which are stored on your disc.

like: AX2012R3A_Data.vhd

It is Contoso Food - UK. It is part of 2012 R2 demo data.

I can't tell, what image version it comes from exactly, but if you tell me how I can find out, I will be glad to provide this information.

Hello, I just wondering where this Company "CFU" comes from. I have the original image from Microsoft and its not in there. Could you please tell me which image that is?

The wizard did not help me, because I already had some Indirect activity categories (Under Human resources/Setup/Time and attendance/Indirect activity categories). However, I found out that the problem was also related to indirect activity categories after all, I did not have setup for Clockin an Clock out activities. After I created those (JmgIpcActivity.Activity) with types Clock in and Clock out, I was able to access the job registration form (Production control/Periodic/Manufacturing execution/Job registration).

You probably need to run the wizard for creating system jobs...

It's found here:

Human Resources > Setup > Time and Attendence > Wizards > Time and attendence configuration wizard.

Missing indirect activities in time & attendance setup
