Is it possible to modify posted G/L Entry via config package

Is it possible to modify posted G/L Entries via config package?

We are looking at doing a mass G/L Account update that includes changing all of the G/L Account numbers and hopefully
the 2 Global Dimensions.

The G/L Account number update will be done manually to allow the system to update related tables. We have multiple years
transactions to update.

In a Sandbox environment, I'm getting the following error message.

>>>

Your license does not grant you the following permissions on TableData G/L Entry: Modify.

To view details about your permissions, see the Effective Permissions page. To report a problem, refer to the following server session ID: '971067'.

    It's really not possible.

You have to rename the GL account(s) and that's not a feature of the config package. This could be done with a custom codeunit

Modifying G/L Entries is not possible with customer license for audit purposes. Only partner is allowed to do that. You can ask your partner to help you with it.

Renaming G/L Account No. from Chart of Account will automatically rename the G/L Entries - G/L Account No. as well.

If you want to change the Global Dimension, you can do so from General Ledger Setup.

You don't need to modify G/L Entries directly.
