Ability to Edit MR Dates Ranges in GP

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Long story short - we have great reports built in MR that we love. However, our CEO would like to see everything in one place - and have the ability to change dates quickly.

Hence, I've now got a dilemma. As far as i know, there isn't an  ability to change a MR date in GP. You can only run the report and see the last one that was ran out of MR.

With that being said, does anyone have any workarounds to handle this issue? I really don't want to rebuild all of my reports in report writer... nor would i even know how to start!

Thanks

Also side question - I tried running/building a P&L using advanced reporting. It's formatting is way off and it's not pulling the correct accounts. How/where would i go to edit this report if i wanted to fiddle around?

As you can see i'm new to building reports in GP. Management Reporter is so flexible and works great... i never thought i would have to mess with anything else!

In Management Reporter you have the ability to see all previous versions of reports.  If you are using the Web Viewer you can just click on Show and then Previous Versions and it will give you a list of all previous versions.  Not sure if that's kinda what you are looking for or if that helps at all.

MR  doesn't really have the ability to dynamically update the reports with dates.  Typically you'd run the P&L monthly and use the previous version to flip back and forth between months, years, etc.
