Unique Fields for running reports

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi

I was wondering if it is necessary to have all unique fields when creating a form in CRM 365 or can you reuse the same field over and over for different parts of the form? Example field name: "Manpower" I want to use this over and over for different tech services like 'cement testing' or 'ground testing'. Will CRM be able to run a report to extract those manpower hours for each tech service if the properties on the Manpower field are not unique?

You will need to have unique fields in the form. So in your example above -

You will need separate fields for Manpower1 for "cement testing" and Manpower2 for "ground testing".

You will be able to get the correct hours in  the reports as needed.

    Hope this helps.
