Planned purchase order - pegging details

Please explain how/what kind of data there are in the three columns: "Requirement quantity", "Covered quantity" and "Changed by quantity" in the Pegging details of a planned order.

E.g. these quantites may differ per line, and sometimes "Changed by quantity" is blank.
