'Add New' button disappears from sub-grid when the view is changed

Hi,

Ive been trying to remove some of the default connection roles provided by MS for the Stakeholder sub-grid ie Economic Buyer, End User etc. I was planning to do this by deactivating those connection roles through the business management section of settings and then adding an extra filter to my sub-grid view which stated "Status(Role (To)) Equals Active" thus only displaying the connection roles which i hadnt deactivated. Upon saving that view to the sub-grid and publishing the form ive found i am now missing the 'Add New' button from the sub-grid and instead it only has the "See the records associated with this view" button. Ive tried multiple views now to test what is causing this issue but so far all i have found is that the 'Add New' button only appears on Managed views where Customizable is False which obviously means i cant add my filter to those.

If anyone has any ideas they would be much appreacited.

Cheers

Scott

    Hi,

This is actually by design because the stakeholder grid is a special grid that allows the in-line add new functionality. When you change the view you no longer get this special grid and so you have the normal connections sub grid which doesn't provide the add functionality.

I've a solution for this with the 'Refresh Connections UI' solution develop1.net/.../Refresh-Connections-UI-Solution.aspx

    Hope this helps

    Hi Scott,

Thanks for the reply. From what i can tell that solution is only applicable to CRM 2015? Ive found the 2013 version of SparkleXRM but i cant find one for the Resource Connections UI which will import into my CRM
