I am working to setup UAE VAT requirements on AX 2012 R2 and stuck with how to set it up so it does not creates a VAT if the SO delivery address is outside of UAE and GCC area. I'm looking for something that can be setup without the need of customization and any upgrade if possible.

I found this post but it only describes how to setup VAT when being sold within UAE and have already got that part covered.

https://community.dynamics.com/ax/b/hafizmuhammadaltaf/archive/2017/11/09/uae-vat-implementation-steps-in-microsoft-dynamics-dynamics-ax

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Raheel

Dear.. As per my understanding you want Tax on the base of Delivery..

In delivery address Near to Sales Order Click add Delivery address in and  then in General Area you can see TAX.

can you explain more that scenario. why you need based on delivery address? for better understanding.

Tax is under setup but doesn't help. In normal scenario user will not be changing the sales tax code every time creating an order.

    Sajjad, scenario is below.

Customer has two locations for delivering order. One is within UAE and other is a country outside of UAE/GCC.

When within UAE, VAT is applicable and when outside it is not.

So each time delivery address outside of UAE is selected, we want VAT to not calculate.

First thing is it acceptable to UAE Tax Department. for Same Customer based on UAE can get direct delivery to out side of the GCC will not be liable to pay tax. the reason could be paying in destination country.

there is option of selecting the Tax code when we add or edit the Address. General Tab and field Sales Tax. how it will work i didn't tested so you can try this by different ways.

at the time of sales order creation select the different address. or later on change the address on Sales order header, or try with multiple line order and change on line based. get the result and share the result.

You can attached different sales tax groups to the different delivery addresses of the customer. When selecting the customer address on the order header, the sales tax group will default from the address selected.
