Dynamics CRM is designed so that most of the 'heavy lifting' such as product configuration, freight charges and tax calculations are performed in a third-party ERP/finance/accounting system. That's why these features don't exist in CRM.

    So you have three choices:

    1. Buy a CRM add-on such as Experlogix or SmartCatalog

    2. Use your ERP/finance/accounting system to do the heavy lifting and export the data to CRM for reference

    3. Get ready for some hard core CRM custom development.

Take a look at Experlogix and SmartCatalog. They are both very sophisticated but reasonably priced and have plenty of implementation partners and customer references.
