Crystal Report has stopped working.

Hello there,

I have been using solomon 7 with vs2010. I installed crystal report 2008. But oftenly crystal report has stopped working. Many of them said its a default error. Can't able to  run and cant able to save too. Has anyone have remedy???

    Dear Karthik

    You seem to be having a series of problems that may share a common pattern.  What is the operating system software you are using on your workstation?  Are you using 64 bit versions?  What about the server where the Dynamics SL programs are installed?

    Dear Don,    

        We are 10 peoples shared the Solomon 2011 server. Using Windows 7, 32 bit OS. Solomon

    2011 with VS 2010. Am new to this stream so dont know the functionalies whats going on. While

    creating the Crystal report am trying to save my report but suddely a window showed as "

    CRYSTAL REPORT HAS STOPPED WORKING" , Even i reinstall that Crystal report 2008. But Cant

    able to create a report.

    Hello. I'm having the same problem.  We're running Solomon SL Sp2. And we just deployed our first Windows 7 32bit machine to a person in accounting and she's having problems printing checks.  She gets the "crystal helper executable has stopped working" error.  The server is 2003 32bit.

    Dear Jack

    We converted to Sl 2011 and had several screens and reports where we encountered this error.  "Application name" has stopped working... mostly when using the SL object model to do something.  

    One day I noticed there are many Hotfixes on the SL support site with a similar pattern.  I applied one related to an object model error and it solved the problem.  I quickly gazed the hotfix list for SL 7 SP 2 and didn't find anything on Crystal but you may want to speak to support about a hotfix for this error.  Maybe other are having the same issue.

    Don,

    Thank you for the reply.  It turned out that it was a bad or incompatible printer driver.  We recently upgraded a driver for an HP printer which caused this issue. I had to go with a universal driver for this particular printer as the specific printer model driver caused this issue.
