Microsoft Dynamics CRM (Archived)

No user (admin included) can access the CRM

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

We've just bought the Customer Engagement Plan license.

Our admin added me as user in the Admin Center. He assigned me the right license.

We try to access Dynamics CRM but none of us have succeeded sofar. Even the administrator cannot access. When I or he click(s) on the Dynamics tile, we cannot access the CRM dashboard. We only have the homepage of Dynamics.com.

Is there something we have to setup or a license we are missing?

Thank you for your help.

    Hi Tiana,

Generally this happens when a security role is not provided in Dynamic CRM so ask someone who is able to access CRM to check your security role, if this is not the issue please share the screen-shot of the what you are able to see.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Aman Anvaria

    Hi Tiana,

Has he been into the Office 365 tenant portal and clicked on the Dynamics 365 link under Admin. This takes you to the Dynamics 365 Administration Center, where you'll find two instances that need to be configured, one of type Production and one of type Sandbox. You need to go through the configuration process to set things like the name of the site and the currency. The site will then be provisioned for you.

    Hello John,

What do you mean by "provision the CRM organization"?

What the Global Administrator did is only that he added me as a user and assigned the appropriate license via the Office 365 portal > Admin center.

I know that he has to setup security roles but he cannot access the CRM to complete this action.

    Hi,

Have you provisioned the CRM organisation via the Dynamics 365 Administration site, accessed via the Office 365 portal? You will not have anything to login to until the org has been provisioned.

    Cheers,

    John
