Production BOM & Routing Updates

We recently went live with Manufacturing in Business Central Online and we are realizing there are many issues related to Bill of Materials and Routing Setups. We have missed Routing lines and incorrect quantities on Bill of Materials. We are working on correcting these setups, but our biggest issue is how we will update the Finished Production Orders with the new updates. 

How can we batch update the Finished Production Orders?

    Standard Business Central allows:

    • Re-opening finished production orders, one at a time

    • Refreshing components for a Reopened Production Order which updates Components but does not update routings. Components updates are also incorrect because it adds to the Quantity Per i.e. if original Quantity Per was 4 and the new changes on BOM is 5, the new Quantity Per will be 9.

    I have recently found an app that is designed to automate these updates in a batch process and handling the limitations on Standard Business Central. See link for details.
