Hi Everyone,

I have a scenario where my client has already created the fiscal year 2025 and posted large number of transactions. Now, they want to load inventory and fixed asset balances for the year 2024, which currently does not exist in the system.

Is it possible to delete the 2025 fiscal year, create the 2024 year first, and then recreate 2025 afterward?

    Hi,
    Unfortunately, it’s not possible to delete a fiscal year once transactions have been posted.
     
    However, you can consider creating a new fiscal calendar and associating it with your ledger setup. This might help you structure your fiscal periods correctly without affecting existing transactions.
    Before proceeding, make sure to evaluate the consequences carefully, as changing the fiscal calendar or ledger association can have a significant impact on financial reporting and historical data.

    As Alireza suggested, you can look for creating new calendar and assign to ledger as there is no option to delete the fiscal calendar.

    In recent past, i faced the same issue, through data entities [Entities name: Fiscal calendar period, Fiscal calendar], it can be created (in your example FY2024).
