Full Copy from Prod to Sandbox - Deactivate Email Workflows?

Hi I am in the process of doing to a full copy from Prod to Sandbox. I have a simple question: our prod instance has multiple workflows that send emails to users. Do I need to turn these off in sandbox to prevent duplicate emails being sent (since the workflows are enabled in sandbox AND prod)?

    Hi,

    One option could be to stop asyn service simply so none of the backgroud process will run in sandbox server.

    Hi Dave,

    I wouldn't stop the async service - that will prevent you from testing any workflows. I'd suggest you turn off the email router on your sandbox so the emails are all generated but never sent out - this will let you test your business logic without sending extra stuff out to the customers (check out this link for details technet.microsoft.com/.../hh699786.aspx )

    Not to mention, you're running CRM online so stopping the service isn't possible.

    Sorry I did not notice it's CRM online question, in case of online we don't have choice to stop asyn service.
