Agree...the PSTL version is much faster. Especially if you have a large number of items & transactions.
How large is your inventory ? Check how many records hold the table IV00101 in your company DB... Microsoft has an advanced Inventory reconcile tool that is part of the PSTL (Professional Service Tools Library) that you can get installed on your GP 2010 (by your partner).
This reconcile function works much faster than the regular IV Reconcile from GP, as it only considers items that are in need of reconciliation.
I agree, you need to run Inventory Reconcile for each item that has bad allocation quanities.
What is the issue? Inventory Reconcile which correct most quantity issues.
