Inventory/Purchasing Transactions - Dates

Good day,

I am working with reconciling the receipts between Inventory and Purchasing. I am using the Inventory Transactions Smartlist and Receiving Transactions.

I am looking at the dates and I am seeing a document number where the receipt date is June in the Inventory Smartlist with a posting status as 'posted' and the GL posting date from the Receiving Transactions as July 2nd.

My question is basically which date from the Inventory Transactions is most relevant there is GL Posting date which is blank, so I use document date and posting status as 'posted', 'posted date' is also blank.

The GL is seeing the transaction in July, which is fine, I think, but in a scenario as this is there any impact on the Inventory value?

Hi,

The posting date to the General Ledger does not impact any of the values in the Inventory module.
