Microsoft Dynamics GP (Archived)

Exception has been thrown...

We have one GP 2013 user who is getting this error after she signs in. "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation" the right panel has nothing in it, no "(name) panel" and no customize hyperlink. Any idea's???

    Yeah I had looked into this:

    Resolution 1 - Method 1 - Nothing in Addins - eOne.Dynamics.GP.ExcelBuilder.GPAddin.dll file.

                                                 The eOne.Dynamics.GP.ExcelBuilder.GPAddin.dll file is version 12.00.0193.000

                              Method 2 - Dynamics.set is 23 with 23 entries.

                              Method 3 - This is only happening to one user - everyone else is fine - when this user

                                                  logs onto another system all is fine. It is machine not server specific.

                              Method 4 - eOne.Dynamics.GP.ExcelBuilder.GPAddin.dll no such file.

                              Method 5 - Step 1 - remove SmartListBUilder - Launch Utils - Launch GP - GP Error - An error

                                                  occurred while loading or initializing and addin.... Never got the change

                                                  Step 2 - This is only happening to one user - everyone else is fine - when this

                                                  user logs onto another system all is fine. It is machine not server specific.

    Resolution 2 - All is correct

    Still get the error on only one system.

    Also have uninstalled and reinstalled - with removal of directories and reg-cleanup.

    Still get the error on only 1 machine 9 other systems fine.

    Sorry that does not work. As I stated before there is nothing in the Addins Folder. Also ALL that the error states is: "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation" no other data.

    Well we cleared her user profile off her machine and cleaned her out of the registry. We did the same to GP, and then had her profile rebuild itself as she logged in. The reinstall of GP went well and the issue is solved. It is something in the user profile and GP. It must be in a GP settings file someplace... Other than the Programs directories or Data directory.

    These should be a list of ALL the folders and files GP creates/touches so it can be forcefully removed, so the time it took to migrate her data off and back onto the machine would not be needed.
