Hi All,

I have Configured a opportunity scoring model, and model is showing ready to publish. I have published it and added the Opportunity scoring model on Opportunity form level, but score is not showing for Open opportunities.

Have you allowed a day for the scoring to be updated?

    Hello Himanshu Kamboj,

You've configured and published your opportunity scoring model, but the scores aren't appearing on your open opportunities. Let's troubleshoot why this might be happening:

    1. Data Requirements and Model Calculation:

    • Data Sufficiency:

      • Opportunity scoring models rely on data to calculate scores.

      • Ensure that your open opportunities have sufficient data in the fields that your model uses.

      • If crucial fields are empty, the model might not be able to produce accurate scores.

    • Background Calculation:

      • Scoring models don't always update scores instantly. There might be a slight delay as the system performs background calculations.

      • Give it some time (a few minutes) and refresh the opportunity form.

    • Model Criteria:

      • Double-check the criteria you've defined in your opportunity scoring model.

      • Are the conditions being met by your open opportunities?

      • If the opportunities don't meet the model's criteria, they won't receive scores.

      •

    •

    2. Form and View Configuration:

    • Form Field Placement:

      • You mentioned adding the scoring model to the opportunity form, but ensure that the specific score field is visible.

      • The score field is not automatically added to the form. You will have to add the field to the form.

      • Add the "Opportunity Score" field to the form.

    • View Configuration:

      • If you're trying to see the scores in a view, make sure that the "Opportunity Score" column is included in the view.

    • Field Visibility:

      • Check if any business rules or JavaScript code are hiding the score field based on certain conditions.

    • Form Refresh:

      • Try performing a hard refresh of the opportunity form (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R).

      •

    •

    3. Model Publication and Activation:

    • Publication Confirmation:

      • Double-check that the opportunity scoring model is indeed published and active.

      • Go back to the opportunity scoring model settings and confirm its status.

    • Solution Layers:

      • If you're using solutions, there might be conflicts that are preventing the model from working correctly.

      • Check the solution layers for the opportunity entity and the scoring model.

      •

    •

    4. System and Background Processes:

    • System Jobs:

      • Scoring models rely on background system jobs.

      • Go to Settings > System Jobs and check for any failed or pending jobs related to opportunity scoring.

      • If there are failed system jobs, this will prevent the score from being calculated.

    • Real-Time Workflows:

      • Although less likely, real time workflows can also cause issues. Disable any real time workflows on the opportunity entity, and test.

      •

    •

    5. User Permissions:

    • Read Access:

      • Ensure that the users who are trying to see the scores have read access to the "Opportunity Score" field.

      • Check their security roles.

      •

    •

    Troubleshooting Steps:

    1. Verify Data:

      • Check the data in your open opportunities to ensure it meets the model's criteria.

    2. Check System Jobs:

      • Look for failed or pending system jobs.

    3. Confirm Publication:

      • Verify that the model is published and active.

    4. Add Score Field to Form:

      • Make sure the "Opportunity Score" field is on the form.

    5. Test with a New Opportunity:

      • Create a new opportunity and see if the score appears. This will help determine if the issue is with existing opportunities or the model itself.

    6. Disable Customizations:

      • Temporarily disable business rules, javascript, and real time workflows.
