Error when I post FA G/L Journal

Hi Expert,

I'm IT Guy & new user for Navision 2013, so I'm not familiar in Accounting. I follow up MS Dynamics Training Material to practice the FA G/L Journal, but I have 2 problem.

1. in material demo, program use 2910 for Bal. Account No. but Nav2013 use 5 digital to instead of 4 digital. so I don't know which one is correct Bal. Account No.

2. I tried to use 16300 then post, program show me "FA Posting Type Acquisition Cost must be post in the FA journal in Gen. Journal Template Name = 'ASSET', Journal Batch name='DEFAULT', LINE No='10000'

How to fix both issue ? does anybody can help ?

Thanks

    Hi,

Lets start with the second question as fixing this should solve Q1:

NAV has the ability to run fixed assets where they automatically post to the GL, or where they don't (Then you can run reports and handle the posting to the GL manually with journals)

The second error is saying that you are trying to post in the "FA GL journal" but GL posting is turned off so you must use the "FA non-GL journal" - in NAV search for "FA Journal" and you will see there are 2, one with GL in it and one without

So you have 2 options, close that "FA GL journal" and post the aqusition in the "FA journal"

Or otherwise search for Depreciation Books and in the integration tab switch on posting to the GL, the FA GL Journal will then work

    Hope this makes sense
