Guidance on Microsoft Business Central Learning Strategy and Trial Duration

Hello,

As a new user with no prior experience with Microsoft's Business Central platform, I have some queries about the most efficient learning strategy.

I plan on actively engaging with the system, using Microsoft's training resources and other third-party tutorials, and applying my learnings directly during the trial period. Given the system's complexity, I anticipate this process might take some time.

Should I activate my trial and dive straight into learning? If the trial period ends before I have fully explored the system, is there an option for extension or activating a new trial?
Or would you recommend a more passive learning approach initially, and then utilizing the trial period to test the platform's functionalities?

Thanks.

Hey There, welcome to the world of Business Central! You can follow what suits the best, I am a do-&-learn kind of a person so for me the best approach is to open the documentation on left and perform what I read on the right. With Business Central you get a limited trial license, you can extend the license up until a certain amount of days, not sure about the number but generally if you follow the MB800 path meticulously for a couple of hours a day, you should be done with the guided learning within 18-19 days. After that, you will have a grasp of Business Central. You can then utilize your own industry knowledge to see how BC will work under that scenario

Thereafter, if you'd like to learn in-depth in a specific module, let's say Manufacturing, there are tons of YT videos out there. You can also look at videos with have "NAV", in their caption (BC is nothing but a re-branded NAV)
