Change number of decimals

Posted on by 582

Hi. We have a requirement to make the number for decimals 3 for all inventory quantities.   We have altered the EDT "InventQty" to 3 decimals.   We then created a sales order line with a qty of 3.567.  The following values have been saved to the salesline table ... a) QtyOrdered 3.567, b) RemainSalesPhysical 3.567, c) SalesQty 3.567, d) RemainInventPhysical 3.570.    The EDT of this last field is the same as the rest.   Interestingly, we created a new sales line with a qty of 3567.000mm and then found the field "RemainInventPhysical" displayed as 3570.000mm.   The data for this field in the database is the same as that displayed in AX.    What are we missing?   Cheers. James.

    RE: Change number of decimals

I've changed EDT Qty as suggested and ran database synchronization .. no change.  You mentioned that RemainInventPhysical is based on a calculation.  Do you know where that calculation occurs, and what parameter values may influence the calculated result? Cheers. James.
