Hi All,
I have been having this annoying dyna zip error on all HQ clients and HQ server.
I have searched through all the forums and the advise was to upgrade to the current version, but it still doesnt work, asked to add the -q in the shortcut, that also is not working, its really frustrating because syncing is halted when that happens
I am running version 2.0.2002 and am suprised am still getting this errors when its part of the hotfixes provided.
Can someone please assit?
Thanks

Well error didn't budge and go away for any of my attempts. Ended up creating a program to automatically acknowledge the worksheet error and create again. This gave some relief acknowledging the error 401 worksheet for many stores, so it won't stop the communication when the server is not attended. Also, wrote a batch file to keep cleaning the QS* temp files.
Hi Dynamics 101,
I am also having same problem (even more with errors like 3704) . By looking at your solution of having 15 mins gap between each synch, You mean something like this
You were wise not to download that file in the link provided Michael. As these forums are monitored by Microsoft, I am somewhat unsure why he provided the link in the first place. The page is attempting to appear to be Microsoft, when in fact it is not. Good choice.
If the answer isn't what you were looking for?
I'm somewhat uncertain as to why you would pose the question?
Connection times should be minimally 15 minutes apart that doesn't mean they will be offline 15 minutes. That means each machine scheduled connection time is every 15 minutes. They are only offline for the amount of time necessary to transmit the data. If they can't do it within 5 minutes because you choose not to adjust the connection times as I suggested? Then you will need to become accustomed to the dynazip error Michael, as it isn't going to go away. You can then explain to your client why you can't fix it.
You can have machines connect at the same time...just not 25 of them, and I have helped people with the same error with 200 stores, so I'm somewhat confident in what I'm saying here and by the way?
It wasn't a suggestion... it's the answer.
1. The busiest store :10:00
2. The second busiest 10:15
3. The third 10:30
4. The fourth 10:45
5. The fifth 11:00
I'd also ensure in Management Studio on the connection tab for the server is set to 0, the memory tab reflects half of the servers physical memory, with a maximum timeout of 600. Have a wonderful day.
Hi DYN,
Thanks for the suggestion, its a great idea.
However with the way we are running RMS across 25 shops with integration into other applications like MS SharePoint, we cant afford a connection time out of more than 5 minutes, data needs to be exchanged within every 5 minutes, anything more than that will cause our client greatly.
I really need a solution that will allow free syncing without any pop ups
If your still experiencing the error after applying the negative Q then I suggest you go into each store and adjust the connection times which should have been done anyway. Set them 15-30 minutes apart instead of no connection times where ever set up or multiple stores trying to connect at the exact same time or too closely together. When they bump into each other because the times aren't configured properly Michael.
The results will be that the losing store who can't connect get's the prize.
A dynazip error.
Hope that helps.
Hi Dynamics101,
We are currently running version 2.0.2002 but we still get the error even after using the "-q" switch
the -q wasn't a required step unless you updated to just the hotfix listed that required it. If you updated to CU 5 it wasn't a requirement and if you are continuing to get this error? there could be multiple reasons. I recommend that you check on the more recent hotfixes as presently I'm running 2.0.2017 or open a service request to obtain it. Thanks.
We haven't seen any Dynazip errors for a couple years since adding the -q switch with 2.0.1001. We're only up to 2.0.1006 now though. Maybe CU5 or a more recent hotfix broke it again.
I mean adding the -q to the shortcut path, the error still popped up, the dynazip message
