Customer Address changes after importing contact master

Posted on by 66

Hi Everyone,

Good morning.

Today I came across an issue when uploading contacts in the Business Central. I'm uploading the master into Business Central. I have imported vendors and customers respectively. Then, when I import the contacts into the system, the customer's address details change. I have also checked the inheritance fasttab in the marketing setup, the values are diabled for all the fields.

May I know the issue and solution for the above scenario?

Thanks,

Jaunt

Hi, Sorry I didn't test it in detail, have you tried clearing the settings below?

    Hi

This is strange since I tried to reproduce it and had no success. But can you test something.

Turn on Marketing for customer. Then use "Create Contacts from Customers" and create contact maybe for 3 customers. Then download Contact package and add related contact to those customers and upload back and see the result.

    Hi MahGah,

Thank you for sharing for valuable information.

I did not set business relation code for customers in the marketing setup. Still I face the same issue.

Is there any other way to fix this?

    Thanks,

    Jaunt

    Hi

When you have uploaded those customers did you have Interaction on under Marketing setup (by defining No series). If yes then the link already established. You can go to Business Relations and see that. You can remove this relationship then try again then later create it by using below. Or when you upload contacts make sure to download contact table first and leave the created one untouched and upload back

    Create Contacts from Customers

    Create Contacts from Vendors

    Create Contacts from Bank Accounts
