Hello Everyone,

We are having problems printing summary and detail trail balances in Management Reporter. The trial balances print correctly in GP but not in Management Reporter. I have been able to trace the problem to the fact that all transactions entered directly into the General Ledger (Source Document of GJ) are not being reported on. When I compare the same report written in FRx to the one in MR, I see all of the transactions and all transaction are reported on. We are using Management Reporter 2012 for Microsoft Dynamics ERP Version 2.1.1037.15. This installation is running in conjunction with our recent upgrade to GP2013. I have attempted to modify the Row Definitions and the Column Definitions to get the proper amounts to appear. These changes included among other things switching Periods Covered from PERIODIC to YTD and adding an Attribute Filter to look for all needed Source Documents. Nothing has as of yet has worked.

I just found out that all transactions belongs to one series "Sales" i.e. it is not pulling up the data from the transaction of this series. Its just weird. Can any one explain what could be the cause.

Have you got the fix for this issue as restart is not working for me. can you guide me if it has been resolved.

Hello,

I came across your post while researching a similar problem we have in our Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 - Management reporter 2012 environment. We have a similar issue in that, at apparently random times, transactions are missing from MR. I typically see this in income statements and verify that they are missing from MR by running a trial balance with no filtering or dimension sets.

We found that it is the Management Reporter Data Mart that gets "out of sync" with the AX environment. To fix the problem we have to stop and restart the Management Reporter services. This seems to pick up the missing transactions. At times we had to delete and re-build our Management Reporter Data Mart in order to get the transactions to show up again.

Stopping and restarting is a quick and easy fix but is not a solution to the problem. We can't seem to figure out why the transactions go missing in the first place...

Two problems I have seen recently cause incorrect numbers:

1. Ranges where no range is required, e.g. Divisin with a range of 1:1 instead of just 1

2. Row Link to Financial Dimension having entries in lower case, e.g. g001 instead of G001
