Calc String, field, Uppercase and language, Check with two stubs on top

I'm trying to have the Calc String 1,2 and 3 to be all Uppercase and in the correct language on the "Check with two stubs on top"

For the Uppercase, I have created a new format as I couldn't find an upper_case one.  It doesn't make any difference though.  Is there anything else I should do?

As for the language, What can be done?  As you can see there is a part french and a part English.

Ok.. I see that I would've need to create a new field referencing the Calc String 1 field as parameter.

For the language.. it seems it'S becasue I have created that check Under the french version of GP.. I created a new cheque Under the English version and the String is now all English. So we can close this thread

    Hi,

I tested the Rw_Upper by making a calc field like this:

    FUNCTION_SCRIPT(RW_Upper  Calc String 1)

...I'm glad you were able to find and use UCASE as it's basically the same.

Yes, it looks like you installed the French Version of GP as everything is in French.  Just to clarify, which language version of GP media did you install?

    Thanks,

    Justin

I wasn't able to implement the function you mentionned.  Adding the function and putting the original function in brackets didn't work.  However, I saw in the System defined functions, the function UCASE which worked exactly like I wish it would. I simply had to put the original function in brackets.  The upper case works now.

Problem of the language remains though.  Yes there is a french version of GP but all checks should print out in English So i'm not sure we even want to implement ML checks

Thanks... I,ll give it a try, It.'s already a function, so I guess putting the whole original function in brackets will work.

As for the language, we just want to print english checks.  why does it pull french text?

    Hi Dominic,

    Script type:

    Global function

    Form (If a form global):

    Category:

    String & Text Manipulation

    Description:

Returns a string in which all the alphabetic characters of a specified string have been converted to upper case.  Uses the Dexterity upper() function.

    Prerequisites:

    none

    Parameters:

    in string IN_String.

    Return Value:

    function returns string OUT_string.

Regarding multilingual checks...I recommend taking a look at the MultilingualChecks.pdf that's in the documentation folder as a starting point.

    Thank you,

    Justin
