Services taxable in some states and not others

For most of our customers Service is not taxable so all my items set up as service are set to be non-taxable.  Wisconsin taxes services, but since the item is set up as non-taxable the invoice won't calculate the tax on the invoice. Is there a way around this?

That won't work.  For example, service is not taxable in California, but goods are, so it can't be be based on the customer's location.

You can switch tax calculation to calculate taxes based on customer location, instead. Howerver and as you can tell, tax rules are supremely complex across jurisdictions, hence I suggest you look at Avalara's AvaTax
