I have been working with dual write for a couple of months. Syncing data between Finance and Sales successfully until now. I am trying a very basic sync between the Business Segments entity and a custom entity in sales with only 3 fields: SegmentCode, Description and Company, and with a key: SegmentCode and Company.

The data syncs well, but I keep receiving and error and the mapping does not stay in running state. The error is: “Dual write failure - Plugin registration failed: [(Unable to sync dual write metadata for AX. Error [Internal Server Error], The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request.)], One or more errors occurred” but it does not give me more detail.

I haven´t been able to find the problem. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi Emilio,

Are all other dual write entities working, except your custom one? Have you verified if you can use the entity with e.g. Power Automate without issues? A "400" error is a client error. It could be that e.g. the syntax is incorrect or does contains special characters.

Hi André, thanks for your reply. I have several entities running including a couple of custom entities. I just run in to the same situation with the standard entity mapping “Customer payment method”. It only has 4 rows, and the data get synced, but it does not stay in running state with the exact same error. No special characters in the data.

I am having this problem with several basic integrations. Consider this for example. Sales Order Origin Codes with just one record. I am integrating 2 companies.

But the mapping does not stay in running state with the following error:

Hi Emilio,

A bad request can also be caused by the wrong use of upper and lower case characters. If you can't find anything which might be incorrect, I would suggest to log an incident for Microsoft Support.
