You have insufficient quantity on item X

Hi.

I am on the 19.X.X version of Business Central. Trying to create this production order but I am unable to post it to the production journal. It throws the error "you have insufficient quantity on item XX"

I have tried checking everything such as preventing non-negative inventory settings, setting up the default location code in Manufacturing Setup.

Nothing seems to be working.

Any suggestions on this?

    Jimit,

You do not have any inventory on the Production Order Components in the Location you are producing in. Please check you have component inventory before doing the Production Journal and consuming.

    Thanks,

    Steve

I think you have some insufficient quantity on component. Without create positive adjustment for the component, you can try to change "Flushing method" into "Manual" and try to post output. If it will post, the problem is in some component.

    Hi

I think they are the issue. Add some QTY to inventory and test.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I checked again on my released production order and saw that the quantity on hands is showing as 0 in the shortage list.

    Could this be an issue?

    Thanks

    Hi

Can you check Components in the problematic production order and see if all components are available and setup in correct location? That could be the issue.
