GST% / VAT% in General Journal was force shown into navision page.

Dear All,

thank you for your time for reading the post.

in our office we are using Navision on prem that is hosted in Azure VM. there was no update been done on our Navision as the version and application version are the same when i inform them about the version in May 2023

i have enquiry navision, whereby after a restart by our supporting vendor, the GST% / VAT% suddenly appear in our General Journal page.
understanding from my colleagues, they seldom use GST% / VAT% in Navision and they were not able to hide or move it around.

When i check with our supporting vendor, they just force hide it and not providing proper answer to why this GST% / VAT% suddenly appear and users are not able to rearrange it in personalize.

1) I would like to find out on whether this GST % / VAT% in General Journal was it suppose to be able to hide/show/move by user personalize.

2) If we force hide it, will it impact other Journals also?

Hi, Sorry I don't have an AU environment of BC14, but as far as I know, VAT% cannot be displayed on the page through Personalization by default.

However, if you do not disable the Design feature or user's permissions, this may be added to the page through Design.

Thank you for your replies.

i not sure how but on all my colleagues navision personalisation screen we all have VAT%/GST% and we do not have the design button on our accounts.

i am the only IT person in the company and neither me nor my other colleagues are expert in navision so we will alway get vendor to support on issue.

was there a way to find out where in the log this happen?
as i know that there was turnover to different vendor support over the 3 years when they shifted to Navision and i doubt any of the colleagues would remember what request have been done or changes before.
