How to link contact option set value to data source

Hi community,

I am trying to achieve a workaround for when a user selects a contact type (option set field) value manually it defaults (populates) the marketing data source field with the option user added. Could some please guide me if this is achievable without coding. See screenshots below. Thanks in advance

    Hi Nya

    Sure, both fields are custom. The scenario is when the user clicks to create a new contact record then the data source field on the form should populate with a option set value 'user added'? Will this be js code? Thank you

    Hi,

    It can be achieved with Business Rules. 

    1. Open the Contact entity to create the business rule, and then double-click Business Rules.

    2. Set Condition and Action.

    Here is the test result.

    When I choose "populates" in the Contact Type, the Data Source field will automatically select "user added".

    Figured it out through js code using  syntax: formContext.u.i.getFormType();
