How do I enable SMS opt out that maps to Dynamics

Hi All

We have added a custom SMS tile to our D365 Marketing environment. This custom SMS tile is added to customer journeys and will enable an SMS to be sent out to a marketing/contact list/segment.

What I need to know, however, is what the best method of opt-out is for SMS comms that integrate with D365. I tried adding the email opt-out link to the SMS but then it does not work as that is for email and also, it will opt them out of all comms and not just SMS>

I need a field in Dynamics for "Do not SMS" and then a way to automatically have that flagged if they click on a link to not receive SMS comms. How do I create this link or how do I approach this?

Will appreciate your input.

    Hi,

You can try to create a custom field "Do not SMS" whose data type is "Two Options" in Contact entity.

Then create a form field mapping with the custom field and insert it into a marketing form.

The contacts can update their info via the marketing form.

Set the value of the field as a condition in your segment, which is the audience of your customer journey.

If the contact ticks the field, they will be removed from the segment and the SMS will no longer send to them.

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

    Best Regards,

    Nya

    Thank you so much Nya.

    This will definitely work.

My only other question will relate to how this will work with consent level settings? Can I work that into the consent level management?

I advise you to seek help from programmers who will help you add the "do not SMS" button. In another case, you will not be able to do it yourself because it's all very difficult. I wanted to pull off such a trick with my phone, but nothing worked, the only thing that helped me was the virtual number through which I receive sms online france and this helped me avoid unnecessary sms messages to my valid phone number. Sometimes unnecessary texts are so annoying that you just want to turn off the phone or remove the SIM card from it. I'm wondering how you deal with unnecessary text messages on your phone? Good luck to everyone, I hope you were able to solve this problem!
