Upgrading Woodford Solution in Dynamics 365 vs 9

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me. I am waiting on Microsoft and Resco to come up with a solution (I have a ticket open) but it is time sensitive and I wanted to reach out on the forum to see if anyone has had experience with this and may be able to shed light on a solution.

I am working with an org that has just been upgraded to vs 9. We need to upgrade to the current woodford version 11. Here is what I've done.

  1. I tried importing Woodford vs 11 into the org. It failed with the log not being of much help.
  2. I tried deleting the old Woodford solution at MS request. It just hangs at the uninstalling popup and never completes with no error message.

I have backed up the current project that is in Woodford.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank-you in advance.

How did you install the Woodford Solution version 11? Did you download the solution from Resco website or did you just update it through the application itself? I usually have better time updating it when the pop up comes up when I log into woodford application on my pc rather than importing the solution to CRM.

What version is it currently on? For using Field Service the woodford solution only needs to be 9.1 as the version 11 is only really for the stand alone Resco Mobile CRM application.

There is a known issue with installing Woodford version 11.  You must manually enable Notes on the questionnaire entity (CRM->Settings->Customizations->Entities->Questionnaire, enable Notes, Save and Publish).  After this try importing the solution again.  Please note that my issue was on Dynamics 365 8.2 and not in V9.

Thank-you Heikki. Resco and MS replied to me with the same information and I was able to import the new solution. Is there a place where known issues are posted for Field Service  and PSA?

These new app specific forums are the best place for known issues. Also the Dynamics 365 Team Blog lists bug fixes in release notes.
