Manufacturing question: A client wants to have a checklist (or a form) attached to a Production order and tick them off as they go through the different routings. How can this be faciltated, please.
The standard Prod. Order Routing has a Routing Status field, which is not shown by default. Could you use this as your Checklist?
The value is switched to "In Progress" when time or material is posted to a specific Operation. An Operation is marked as "Finished" when the "Finished" Boolean is set during Output posting in the Output Journal or Production Journal.
Is this checklist (or a form) outside the system or inside the system?
If it is outside the system, you can create a report, print it out, then confirm it outside the system and finally upload it into the system as an attachment.
If it is within the system, as far as I know this requires customization. I suggest you discuss the detailed requirements with your partners.
There are a few ways - you can create a custom report that's printed from a production order if you need the check list to be printed. Or you can simply add a boolean field to the routing page, or to the production journal page. When a step is completed, the boolean is marked yes. If you provided your requirements in more detail it would be easier to provide a recommendation.
