Hello,
I have a saved view on a form which by default is grouped on a certain column (Department). However, each time the user changes the department from a control on the same form, the query is executed again which then ungroups the column so then the user has to manually group it again. Any idea on how I can maintain the Group by even when the query datasource is executed again? Thank you.
Hi,
When you have made some changes you can see that the "standard view" has an asterisk "*" appended to it.This indicates that a change has been made and can be saved into the view again. If you refresh the form you will see that the sorting is still there.
Hi Judy,
Yes, I am fully aware about the asterisk that indicates a change has been made. My issue here is specifically maintaining the Grouping on a certain column when the user selects a value from a control which triggers the executequery of the datasource again and so the data is refreshed correctly but the column gets ungrouped. Basically, I already have a saved view where the grid is grouped by Column A by default. I just want to maintain that grouping whenever the data is refreshed due to the user triggering the executequery method.
