Fixed Asset SmartList

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

Is there a Fixed Asset smartlist that pulls the quantity field from the asset card?

I need to know the quantity of assets within each asset ID. I have tried to run the smartlist but cant see this field.

These are the only options I have

    try this

    navigate to Tools>>Setup>> System>>Smartlist Options

below window will open, with the below data selection you will be able to view the Asset Quantity field , add it and then go back to your smartlist.

That is what I did yet it does not appear as a field to select. Is there somewhere I am meant to set up the field’s first?

You need to switch to all Columns to see the fields. See below screen shot from GP2013.

Thanks, this is really helpful I did not know you could add fields etc. I did not see an asset quantity field though. . . . We have an old version of GP (2013) would that be the reason I cant find it?

You need to add the field in available smartlist and then save it as a smartlist favorite for future use. the name of field is Asset Quantity.

To add field, you need to select 'Columns' , it will pop up another window named 'Change Column Display' , press Add button and switch to to All columns view then Available columns, find  the 'Asset Quantity' field and add it to smartlist.
