Filed Filtering on Employee Record

Posted on by 110

Hi we're in the process of setting up our Talent instance, and currently looking to see if we can filter specific fields on an Employee record for specific users/groups so they can only see what is assigned to them

One example would be for an IT group to be able to see IT equipment assigned to a user, but not their salary

I can't see much documentation on this, so thought i'd ask here. Can someone advise if this is possible to do, and if so, how to do it?

Thanks

    Hi Paul,

Have you tried assigning security roles to users.

System administrator > Links > security > Assign users to roles.

Try exploring some of the available roles like "employee", it might be helpful for your scenario.

    Thanks,

    Hi Paul,

in the Model-Driven apps you can have more security roles, role-based, field security, form based etc. and yes, you can have this kind of groups.

Hi Nicu thanks for replying, do you know of a way to have some sort of role-based access control in place by groups for example?

    Thanks

    Hi Paul,

you can't do such filtering on CoreHR (Talent) module. the application is locked and you are not allowed to change the forms.

however, you can create a Model_driven app (In PowerApps), where you can have more flexibility, bring data from CoreHR - in 4 hours of work you could have what you want.

    best regards,

    nicu
