error while clicking on Set Regarding in email

when a user clicks on set regarding in an email in outlook 2013   it comes up with the following error. "An unknown error occurred while synchronizing data to outlook.item Name(has name of email here)"

CRM version : on-premises 2016

This is occurring for only one user.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Is the user able to just track that record? Is the Outlook client and CRM Server on the same build? You can get detailed error in the Outlook client traces. If you want, post the snippet of the error details from the traces here, so we can take a look too. Typically, you'd see this behavior when the user is missing certain privileges. Validate if there were recent changes to the user's security roles.

    Hi,

    Check if this happening for single record or all. If single, check if the same is already exists in CRM.

    If all, enable tracing and see if you could find any help in teh traces.
