I have searched and not found an answer for this.
Scenario
We sell goods both freight inclusive and ex-warehouse and then with item charge for sales freight.
However, in both cases our Profit & Loss and any Gross and Adjusted Margin Statistics are very inaccurate until we receive an invoice from the freight company (which can be up to 3 weeks in our case).
Sometimes in our goods freight can account for up to 20% of the freight inclusive price.
In our system we already have some customisations on a PTE level to create calculated freight but are happy to pull this out if there is a better system out there.
Any solutions that provide
Is anyone aware of a solution that:
1) At time, a Sales Invoice (or I guess a Sales Shipment) is posted an estimated freight charge and accrual is also posted.
2) Shows additional gross margin adjusted for estimated freight on the order and lines
3) Optionally tracks difference between estimated cost and actual cost when invoice is received
