Dear All,
I had received the same issue when I was trying to run GP 2010 setup.exe in two different servers and also for two different GP sources. Any suggestions?
turns out some recent .net updates caused the error. Uninstalling KB 2656351 and KB 2656352 from the Business Portal server fixed the error. Microsoft is working on a fix so I can secure my server and have a working application :)
yeah, i've opened a case with microsoft but they don't have the solution yet either.
Jennifer,
I haven't seen this, and the error doesn't provide much information. Starting a support case may be your best bet.
Thanks
Rob
i rebooted the business portal server and the error is still happening. This is not a new installation. I did install routine microsoft updates last thursday and the error started yesterday. It is GP 10, sharepoint 3.0, and BP 4. We are using IE 8.
Jennifer,
Can you offer more information? Is this a new installation/setup or did things just stop working? What version of GP, BP, SharePoint, and Internet Explorer are you using?
Thanks
Rob
Real tough one to debug!
Can you reboot the BP server?...and try again.
Does it happen for all users?
If you log on to the machine as Administrator - does it happen?
Did you change the authentication of your SQL server, or change passwords or anything like that?
I don't think I'm going to be much help - but those are the first things I would do / check.
Ian.
When users try to submit timesheets in Business protal, they are getting a Server Error in '/' Application. Additional error information is 'Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object.' Has anyone else experienced this error?
