How to find undelivered or bounced emails?

Hi all,

We're using CRM 2011 without the Outlook plugin. If a user sends an email from CRM to a contact, where can I see if the email was not delivered to the contact or bounced? Is there an overall list in CRM? Does the sending CRM user receive an email in Outlook informing him of the problem?

    Hi Amber,

    In this case the user will be able to see the records only under the activities navigation on the contact page.

    By undelivered you mean that email has not been sent from crm and has failed in CRM then that email will be in the open activities navigation of the contact.

    For bounced mails you cannot filter in CRM as they will be received mail( the bounce notification mail)

    For the failed emails their status reason will be either pending send or failed.

    Undelivered E-mails should be residing in the E-mail Router (Queue mailbox) which should be ideally forwarded to CRM but undelivered E-mails will not be forwarded to CRM as its the behavior. Also check below blog which is for CRM 2015 online.

    if the email is bounced, it can only be notice by the sending mailbox (i.e. sender).

    if you are always sending email through a common mail box (suppose by admin) then you can setup the exchange rule on the mailbox on receiving emails to identify the mail forward it to some other mail box.
