I would like to ask , How to correct monthly depreciation?
I set my fixed asset item like this;
AMOUNT: 45,000
Depreciation Profiles: Straight Line Service Life
Depreciation Year: Calendar
Period Frequency: Monthly
Value Models
Depreciation run date : 7/12/2018
Service Life: 2, Depreciation periods: 24, Depreciation period remaining:24
Expected scrap value: 1
Depreciation convention : None
I am planning to depreciate my fixed asset item until 7/12/2020, but the result per month until 7/12/2020 is not equal?
I know the straight line depreciate last day of the month, but why monthly depreciation was not equal? after 2 years
2018-->first month 1232.85, second month until last month has 1886.26
2019 to 2020--> first month until last are the same value 1874.96
2020--> 7/31/2020 has 585.57
Please help me to correct my entry. Thank you!
