Inventory-Reconcile To GL Keeps Crashing

Hi,

I am trying to run the reconcile to GL for Inventory, from 1/1/17 to 12/31/17. The issue is the report seems to take an hour or more, freezes up my PC, then I have to close GP. Is there a reason why this is happening?

RE: Inventory-Reconcile To GL Keeps Crashing

    Hi,

Are you starting the Inventory reconcile under this location ?

    Inventory >> Utilities >> Reconcile

Or is it this one ?

Financial >> Routines >> Financial >> Reconcile to GL

If the process is taking too long, you may want to consider splitting it into smaller chunks (like quarterly reconciles) instead of doing the full year in once..

Also, it doesn't mean because your GP client becomes unresponsive that it doesn't work in the background.. The general rule is to never interrupt your GP client, even when the system says "Not responding" .. this is a client - server process and it can put quite some load onto your local resources when running routines likes reconciles or Check-links.
