Fixed Assets Accounts

Hi!  I created an asset and changed the Clearing Account after saving it.  When I run the GL Posting Routine, it did not reflect the new Clearing Account I entered, it still went to the old one. Has anyone had this issue?

Thanks

Marisol

I just had another idea in mind, since you changed the accounts after the asset was saved, then the financial detail of the fixed asset inherited the old accounts and they shall definitely be adjusted on the database level if you are not willing to delete the asset and re-create it to inherit the new accounts.

There is a script provided on ERO Software blog which you can use meanwhile. Consider testing that on a test environment before applying it on your live environment.  Here is the link

It's in the Purchase Posting Account.  Also I changed it on the Asset itself not the Class since I know Class changes don't roll down.

Have you changed it as well from the purchasing posting account ?  (Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Fixed Assets > Purchase Posting Account)

Additionally, make sure that you changed it not on the class level because it won't be reflected on the assets within this class, change it from Cards > Fixed Assets > Account

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,
