Filter from View doesn't provide Lookup Records Window

From a View you can add a filter data further by selecting drop down on column.  Prior to Unified Interface the filter selection would provide a Look Up Records window that would display the first 3 columns of data in the Lookup view.  This provided for easier selection of lookup value if there were associations to related records.  In Unified Interface the filter now only shows the Values to select - you are unable to see any related data from the lookup table.

Example - I have a custom entity that has a lookup field on Opportunity.   Previously I could use the Lookup Records - view columns to properly identify which selection to make based on other data in the table.  Now that the filter only displays the primary field it isn't easy to determine which to select.

Is there a way to have the Filter by on a View shows the Look Up Records View to select from?

    Hello Lori,

Prior to Unified Interface (uci), when you filter it uses the lookup view which can be customized with the desired columns. On uci, the grid filters have been redesigned and has a different control depending on the type of attribute and it's only based on the data from that view.

If this doesn't fits your business needs, I would suggest to submit an idea to Dynamics 365 Application Ideas Forum:

    I hope this helps.

On top of what Luis already shared, wanted to highlight that it's feedback that we received from multiple customers and that product teams are looking to improve.

    Hi Lori,

The feature you were looking for has now been delivered (it's currently being rolled out).
