Data Exchange Definition for a Bank Statement Import

I am trying to create a Data Exchange Definition for a Bank Statement Import.

My import file has a debit and credit column but both columns show the amount as positive.

I have created my Data Exchange Definition and mapped my debit column and credit column to statement amount.

This brings in both amounts, but as positive numbers.

I need to reverse the sign of the amounts in the  credit column.

I have looked at Negative-Sign Identifier and Transformation rules and cannot see how to achieve this.

 

Any guidance would be appreciated.

    You could create a custom transformation rule to make the number be minus. Here is how to create one: www.hougaard.com/.../

    Found the answer without developing custom transformation development

    Create a new Rule

    Transformation Type = Regular Expression - Replace

    Find Value = 0-9.,]+  

    Replace Value = -$_

    There is a hidden column called 'multiplier' in the line field mapping page. which you can pull onto the page and insert a value of -1 against the column you want to pull in as a negative value.
