Opening balance of a chequebook is captured but it does not appear on GL account, does anyone have an idea on solving the problem.

When you say captured, what do you mean? What kind of a transaction was entered to create the opening balance?Have you checked your GL Journals...would there be any journals waiting to be posted into GL?

Normally, Opening Balances for checkbook GL account is entered through GL OB Journal Entry itself, to enter new OB for checkbook we just need to update the LAST RECONCILE BALANCE in CHECKBOOK MAINTENANCE with OB Date as LAST RECONCILE DATE
