You can refer to this official document: Validations, default values, and unmapped fields - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn, This article describes how data entity values are validated, how default values can be provided, and how to use fields that are not mapped to data source values, but instead contain virtual or computed data (unmapped fields).

What does you mean by 'when entity is opened '?

To set some default values for some specific field we have some standard entity method like postload() or mapdatasourcetoentity() methods if you are asking about export. But can you give us your full business requirement?

Dear Bharani Preetham Peraka

I'm using D365 F&O.

This means when you download the Entity and open it with Excel.

When I open Excel, there is a fixed field that I can enter.

In this case, I have to add the fields I want every time I open the entity.

I would like to skip the task of adding the fields I want by setting them to default values.
