Data modification in clients or suppliers without modifying G/L

Hi Everyone!

In our company, we have the accounts balanced, so we don't want to modify any account balance. However, we detected some wrong balances in some suppliers, ¿how can we correct those balances in the suppliers without touching or affecting the general ledger and the accounting books?

Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no way.....

You can achieve that by the following strategy:

Is to create your supplier as the one side of the posting and then to select your balance account as the same account, that the supplier entry goes into.
This way, you can do all your adjustment without creating anything in your chart of account GL , meaning of course you are creating a lot of G/L entries, but also create the opposite entry in the same way.

You can try this on sandbox or copy of your company, if satisfying you, then you can apply it on your production.
