Good evening,

I am very new to using business central. Currently when my organization raises a sales invoice, the name of the colleague who has raised the invoice does not appear on the sales invoice. Is there a way to add the name of the member of staff who has raised the invoice, to the invoice automatically please?

BC does not have a field for the person creating the sales order.

However, if you want to use Salesperson for this, create sales person records and then add that salesperson value to the User Setup for each user.

To add to Kim's comment you can try Page Inspector. Go to Posted Sales Invoice then use Alt+Ctrl+F1 and open page inspector then search for Created By to see the user name. See this docs.microsoft.com/.../across-inspect-page

Hi MahGah, thanks for the useful tip. We have one person here who raises the sales invoice and another who posts it (a member of the finance team). Does the search for "created by" show who raised the invoice or who posted it please?

Hi

You can try with one invoice to see how system recorded. My best guess is you need to look in to "Modify" instead of "Created". Basically "Modify" is the last person that made a change and in this case since Posted Sales Invoice does not change it could be a person who posted it. But you can check with one of invoice.
