Email Invoices - An error occurred during this operation

Hi

My client is getting this error message on one particular workstation when trying to email invoices.  They can do the emails successfully from other workstations so it points towards a system issue rather a GP issue, but I thought I would post it up here to see if anyone has come across it and managed to find what it was.  I searched the error online and there is very little information.  So any direction at all could be helpful.

    Hi Heather,

    This is unfortunately a reather poor 'error' message and not much you can start with.. Is it reproducible ? If so, did you try to enable a DEXSQL trace ?  or check the Windows Event log ? Did that worked before and came up all of sudden or does it happen randomly ?

    Hi Heather

    As Beat said this is a nasty one, with not too much for decrypting error messages to go on.

    I had a client with something similar.  What I did was have their IT team uninstall 64bit office and install 32bit office and voila, everything worked fine.

    As a side question, you show the batch window, so I assume you are trying to email a batch of invoices. What happens if you try and email just one invoice from the workstation in question?  Does it work or do you get the same results?

    Hi Heather,

    I had this problem with one workstation and received a solution from Microsoft.  I had to screen shot the Support Incident scan and past it into Word.  I can't seem to upload Word docs to this forum or get the Word paste to work.  The solution is in two separate Word documents with images.  Can you get me your email address and I'll send them to you?

    Hi Heather,

    Is the default email profile on that local computer the same as the email profile for the user?

    Hi Heather,

    I've tried emailing you from two different accounts and it's getting rejected.  I even tried a test message with no attachments.  Here's the message:

    Your message to heather@olympic.co.nz couldn't be delivered.

    heather wasn't found at olympic.co.nz.

    Email address is heatherr@olympic.co.nz - didn't notice, but auto-correct dropped the second r when I hit the @ key - very annoying.
